Manila Cathedral, 10 other churches featured in CBCP virtual Holy Week tour

Filipino Catholics who want to observe the Visita Iglesia - a tradition of visiting seven churches during Holy Week - but could not do so physically may now do so online.

On Wednesday, the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines updated its Visita Iglesia website to feature 11 churches from Metro Manila, Bulacan and Pangasinan.

The site, which went online last March, initially featured only four churches.

As of Thursday afternoon, the 11 churches featured in the 2014 edition of the site include:

The Wedding Capital of the Philippines (San Agustin)

Sanctuario de Sto. Cristo (San Juan)

San Ildefonso Parish, Guiguinto, Bulacan

The remaining eight churches are:
  • San Fabian Church, Pangasinan
  • Parish Church of St. Lawrence - Deacon and Martyr (Balagtas, Bulacan)
  • Epiphany of the Lord Parish (Lingayen, Pangasinan)
  • Manila Cathedral
  • National Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Baclaran)
  • San Sebastián Church (Manila)
  • Nuestra Señora de la Asunción Parish (Bulakan, Bulacan)
  • Barasoain Church (Bulacan)
Clicking on the images will launch a video player describing the churches featured.
