Featuring original botanical engravings by Spanish friar Manuel Blanco as well as contemporary artwork inspired by local plants, "Imaging Philippine Flora: 1877 to the Present" will open at the Metropolitan Museum of Manila on Nov. 25 at the museum’s Tall Galleries.

According to the Met, the exhibit "delves into [the] diverse plants, trees, and flora rooted in the country’s vast green spaces such as gardens and parks, and fields and forests. The various art works in the collection explore botanical visualization that highlight ecologies past and present, histories local and transnational."
