1,000 rockers perform to get Foo Fighters in north Italy
While many fans worldwide do all sorts of antics just to catch their idols' attention, musicians in northern Italy found the best way to convince an American rock band to perform in their city.
Foo Fighters fans in Cesena, Italy organized an event called "Rockin' 1000" to get their favorite band's attention.
A thousand musicians including vocalists, guitarists, bassists, and drummers gathered to perform--all at the same time--the band's 1999 hit song, "Learn To Fly" while a conductor led them on.
The video was directed by Anita Rivaroli and Alberto Viavattene, and edited by Matteo Stefani.
It seemed like their hard work paid off! Of course, Foo Fighters can't say no.
In a tweet on the band's Twitter page, front man David Grohl replied: "Ci vediamo a presto, Cesena." This is roughly translated to "See you soon" in English.

The video has been viewed for more than three million as of post time. -Trisha Macas/NB, GMA News
