Sculptures on exhibit at The Gallery in Greenbelt 5 in Makati City will soon be for sale to benefit young patients with congenital heart disease (CHD).
“Alay Sining,” a project of the Rotary Club of Makati West (RCMW), will run from November 12 to 15, 2015 and will benefit the Gift of Life program, which helps children with CHD who need surgery.
“If you support Alay Sining, you don’t only support children with heart ailments, but Filipino artists as well. So I say, start saving hearts through art,” said RCMW president Victor “Junvee” Vital in a statement provided by the organization.
According to the RCMW, over 100 artists from all over the country have sent their sculptures to be part of the benefit sale.

Some of the participating artists of the Alay Sining 8 showcase their sculptures during media briefing for the exhibit.
"[I]t’s really a Philippine-wide sculpture shop, and what’s really nice is that all of the artists have joined because they want to support the Club and the Gift of Life,” said exhibit organizing committee chairman Paolo Delgado. — BM, GMA News
