Myanmar bet trips in Miss Universe preliminary evening gown competition

Miss Myanmar tripped during the evening gown segment of the Miss Universe 2015 preliminary competition on Thursday morning, Manila time. The beauty queen, however, stayed elegant as she recovered and gestured to the crowd to clap and cheer for her as she continued to walk the stage. 

 

The Miss Universe Twitter account once again teased fans with a tweet asking, "Who do YOU think should be the next #MissUniverse?"

The rest of the 80 beauty queens tried to woo the judges with grace and elegance. Miss China wore a modern silk cheongsam, while Miss Curaçao commanded attention with a striking red dress and a bouffant hairstyle. Meanwhile, Miss Georgia went for a form-fitting sheer blue gown, which she designed herself. 

 

Hosts Paulina Vega and Nick Teplitz also shared brief trivia about the candidates. Did you know that Miss Brazil and Miss Croatia are on their way to getting their law degrees? Miss Ireland, however, shared that she used to be a housekeeper and said that the experience keeps her humble. 

The Miss Universe 2015 coronation night will be held on December 20 (December 21, Manila time) at the Planet Hollywood Resorts and Casino, Las Vegas. Fans can vote for their favorite candidate and they can also send suggestions for a Final Question. —Aya Tantiangco/KG, GMA News
