‘Les Miz’ adds 8 more shows to upcoming Manila run
To accommodate the overwhelming response to the upcoming production of "Les Miserables" in Manila, its run has now been extended by eight more shows, with tickets already being sold by Ticket World.
One of best-loved musicals of all time, Les Miserables was first staged in the Philippines in 1993 at the Meralco Theater by Repertory Philippines. Several of its songs have become classics, especially "I Dreamed a Dream" and "On My Own."
The Manila production will feature the Australian cast of the musical, plus Rachelle Ann Go as Fantine. Go won Best Performance in a Long-Running West End show (Female) at the Broadway World UK Awards 2015 for her portrayal of the tragic grisette.
The 2016 production will open on March 11 and will run until April 17 at The Theatre in Solaire. Ticket prices start at P1,750. — Aya Tantiangco/BM, GMA News
