What ‘Les Miserables’ has in store for Manila audiences
After much anticipation, "Les Miserables" fans in the Philippines will finally be able to watch the phenomenal and award-winning musical as it officially opens in Manila on March 16, Wednesday.
Cameron Mackintosh's production has an internationally diverse cast, including Filipina performer Rachelle Ann Go as Fantine.
Joining Go are Simon Gleeson as Jean Valjean, Earl Carpenter as Javert, Cameron Blakely and Helen Walsh as Monsieur and Madame Thenardier, Kerrie Ann Greenland as Eponine, Paul Wilkins as Marius, Emily Langridge as Cosette, and Chris Durling as Enjolras.
The musical has produced several classic songs, such as "I Dreamed A Dream," "On My Own," "One Day More," and "Do You Hear The People Sing?"
"Les Miserables" the musical, written by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg and based on the novel by Victor Hugo, will play in The Theater at Solaire until April 24.
