‘Les Mis’ cast enjoys Kampampangan feast, Senakulo in San Fernando
The cast of the Manila run of the hit musical "Les Miserables" went to Barangay Cutud, San Fernando, Pampanga for Maleldo 2016.
Maleldo is the Kampampangan word for Lent or the Lenten Season and in the spirit of that season, the cast took on the role of audience and attended a Passion Play or Senakulo.
Desiree Ching, who was part of the welcoming party for the actors, shared that the cast coordinated with the local tourism office for the visit. Having been informed of their plans, Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin invited them to the Lazatin House. The actors feasted on Kampapangan delicacies in the heritage home.
In particular, Ching said that the cast enjoyed the buco and lychee sorbet.
