Inaugural outfits of Baste's family all set for Duterte’s oath-taking

The family of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte's son, Sebastian “Baste” Duterte, is all set to attend the inauguration of the 16th President of the Philippines on Thursday.

The designer who made Baste's Barong Tagalog and his girlfriend Kate Necesario’s Filipiniana shared details on the creations on GMA 7 news program “24 Oras” on Monday.

Baste’s Barong is made of Mindanaoan silk featuring designs of a tribe. Kate’s terno, on the other hand, is made of piña. Their two-year-old son Yair has also his own Barong Tagalog design.

“Gusto namin medyo young ang approach noong design niya, not that mature," said Aztec Barba, president of the Davao Designers and Fashion Council.

"Actually, madali siyang bihisan kasi maganda naman ang build niya," Barba added. "Si Kate, the details are very subtle din. Hindi ganoon ka-exaggerated kasi it’s a Filipiniana eh.
