Norma Liongoren of Liongoren Gallery passes away
Norma Crisologo Liongoren, patron of the arts and gallerist, passed away early Friday morning due to complications caused by stomach cancer.
Liongoren's son Erik confirmed the news on Facebook, announcing his mother's reunion with "The Master of All Painters."
He wrote on Facebook "Its been a little over a year when she was operated for gastric carcinoma (stomach cancer). Although she beat the "BIG C" and was said to be cancer free a few months back - the complications on her stomach caught up with her."
Liongoren was 69 and had been active in the running of the Liongoren Gallery in Cubao.
She was also a NAMFREL volunteer during the 1986 People Power Revolution and was featured in GMA News' EDSA 25 anniversary special.
