Spanish film fest Película-Pelikula begins Wednesday at Greenbelt 3
The biggest festival of Spanish and Spanish-speaking films in Asia will open for a two-week run at Greenbelt 3 cinemas in Makati on October 5.
Película-Pelikula is presented by Instituto Cervantes, the Embassy of Spain, and the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), and offers an array of 21 films from Spain, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Venezuela.

After its run at Greenbelt, the films will be shown at Cinematheque Centre Manila from October 19 to 23. The films will also be screened at FDCP's Cinematheques in Baguio, Iloilo, and Davao.
At the festival, viewers will get the chance to win a trip to Spain, just by voting for their favorite film.
On October 22, during the film festival's run at Cinematheque Centre Manila, filmmaker Nick Deocampo will hold a discussion of the cinema cultures of the Philippines, Mexico and Spain. The event will include a screening of short works from the three countries. The Philippines' entries are Bor Ocampo's "Digpa ning ati" and Elvert Bañares' "Impas," to be presented at the event by the directors themselves. — BM, GMA News
