Giant Christmas tree lights up Araneta Cubao

It's starting to look a lot like Christmas at Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City.

The 100-foot Christmas tree now glows brightly in the middle of the busy commercial district after its lighting ceremony on Friday.

Hundreds of people witnessed the lighting, with beauty queens led by Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2016 Maxine Medina, along with various celebrities, doing the honors for the lighting ceremony.

The Christmas tree, dotted with countless snowflakes and topped with a large star, sparkled with gold and blue lights.

Among the guests this year were street children under the He Cares Mission. The kids were treated to an early Christmas dinner and presents, given by the Binibining Pilipinas queens.

The stars in attendance also treated the attendees with song and dance performances. —JST, GMA News
