100 young violinists perform for Christmas benefit concert

More than a hundred of young violinists from Star Suzuki Strings gathered to play in the “For Unto Us A Child is Born” benefit concert at the Sta. Rosa City Auditorium in Laguna on November 27.

The ensemble, led by master violinist and instructor Homer Ilao, played for the benefit of the Biñan Adventist Elementary School.

Inspired by the bible verse depicting the birth of Jesus, the concert featured some of the most loved classic Christmas songs—in time for the holiday season.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace,” the verse says.
