Pandanggo sa ilaw featured in Miss Universe infomercial

The excitement is high for the 65th Miss Universe competition, and the organizers are not pulling punches in ensuring that the interest in the pageant is sustained.

On Wednesday, students were spotted performing the traditional Pandanggo sa Ilaw at Rizal Park. The scene will be included in an advertisement for the show.

The Miss Universe candidates on Tuesday also visited the historical park, as well as Intramuros.

In an interview with GMA News Online at the Miss Universe 2016 kickoff party Saturday, Miss Universe Organization president Paula Shugart said that the Philippine landscape will be prominently featured in the show. — Aya Tantiangco/BM, GMA News
