Free film screenings at UPFI Film Center for EDSA Revolution anniversary
The University of the Philippines Film Institute (UPFI) Film Center is observing the anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution from February 23 to 25 through a Martial Law Special.
Six films in varying genres depicting the dictatorship and other related subjects will be screened for free at the UPFI Film Center, including Lav Diaz's critically acclaimed "Mula Sa Kung Ano Ang Noon."
Also in the lineup are "Sigwa" (Joel Lamangan), "Mga Anino ng Kahapon" (Alvin Yapan), "The Guerilla is a Poet" (Sari and Kiri Dalena); "Halaga ng Hustisya" (Milo Paz), and the Eugene Domingo-starrer "Barber's Tales" (Jun Robles Lana).

On February 25, the last day of the festival, a roundtable with the filmmakers will be held.
The date marks the 31st anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution, which led to the ouster of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos.
Presidential spokesperson Secretary Ernesto Abella said that the Duterte Administration will commemorate the event as "A Day of Reflection: Celebrating People Power."
