Teacher comedy ‘Fist Fight’ pits Ice Cube against Charlie Day

Imagine getting challenged to a fight after school and ending up in a situation you didn’t want to be in? That’s pretty much what teacher Andy Campbell experiences when he gets on the bad side of colleague Ron Strickland, and the latter challenges him to a “teacher fight” in Warner Bros.' newest comedy “Fist Fight”—a movie full of pranks and insanity that can only happen in a public school setting.

This film is a no-brainer crash course in what happens when the school system is out of control, students pick on teachers, and all the educators are fed up or fired from their jobs. As Ron Strickland, Ice Cube steals the show as the tough guy with serious anger management issues, putting the cowardly and nervous Andy (Charlie Day) to the test by serving notice that they’ll be settling their differences by “fighting like men.”

What follows in this Richie Keen-directed comedy is a lot of laughs as faculty, family, and even students come into the picture to see these two very different teachers get it on and brawl. You don’t need to think very hard for this movie. Just watch the fists fly and the laughs go all out.
