First look at Emily Blunt as the iconic Mary Poppins
Walt Disney Pictures continues to enchant as they reveal the first look at the sequel to the beloved 1964 musical "Mary Poppins." Emily Blunt is stepping into the shoes of the magical nanny and it looks like she packed more than just a spoonful of sugar in her bag.

The sequel, "Mary Poppins Returns", is the latest in a slate of reboots from Disney, which has released live-action remakes of "Sleeping Beauty" ("Maleficent"), "Cinderella", and most recently, "Beauty and the Beast."
The movie draws inspiration from the rest of the novels penned by P.L. Travers. Ben Wishaw and Emily Mortimer will be playing Michael and Jane, the children from the first movie who are now grown with families of their own.
Joining the cast as Mary Poppins' friend Jack is Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creative force behind the hit musical "Hamilton." The movie also introduces the new character Topsy, Mary Poppins' cousin, played by Meryl Streep.
"Mary Poppins Returns" is scheduled for release in December 2018. — AT, GMA News
