Poetry, comics in spotlight at Book Fiesta in QC on Sunday
To celebrate April 23 as World Book and Copyright Day, the National Book Development Board (NBDB) will hold a "Book Fiesta" on that day at the Quezon Memorial Circle.
Activities at the Book Fiesta include storytelling sessions, book discussions, shirt printing, an erasure poetry workshop by Ayer Arguelles, and an on-the-spot comic book making session with Tepai Pascual, Harvey Tolibao, Apol Sta. Maria, Rob Cham, and Manix Abrera as well as book signings by the authors.

Those joining the erasure poetry workshop, which is free, will learn how to make their own poetry using magazines and newspaper articles. Slots are limited, so if you wish to join, email events@nbdb.gov.ph with the subject line “Erasure Poetry.” Provide your name, affiliation, age (you must be at least 16), and contact number.
There will also be freebies at the Book Fiesta, including a comic on copyright know-how for writers and artists by Manix Abrera.
