Winnie the Pooh writer swept up by fame, war in ‘Goodbye Christopher Robin’
If you grew up loving the "silly old bear" in the red shirt who eats jars of honey and goes on adventures with his friends on the Disney Channel, then here's some good news!
Fox Searchlight Pictures has released the first trailer for "Goodbye Christopher Robin," a live-action movie on how Winnie the Pooh came to be.
The film is about British author A.A. Milne and how he was inspired to start writing about Winnie the Pooh and his friends—based on his son Christopher Robin's toys.
The movie will also show how the children's classic brought cheer to England after the first World War.
"Goodbye Christopher Robin" is directed by Simon Curtis and stars Domhnall Gleeson, Margot Robbie, Kelly Macdonald, Will Tilston, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Alex Lawther.
It will open in theaters on October 13, 2017. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/BM, GMA News
