Gary Oldman is unrecognizable in new ‘Darkest Hour’ trailer

Director Joe Wright's ("Atonement", "Anna Karenina") latest endeavor is sure to stir plenty of emotions. Speeches are a plenty in the official "Darkest Hour" trailer.

The film chronicles Winston Churchill's push to take the country to war and stand up to Nazi Germany. Stepping into the Prime Minister's shoes is acclaimed actor Gary Oldman — who is hardly recognizable in the role.

Joining Oldman are Kristin Scott Thomas, Lily James, Stephen Dillane, Ronald Pickup, and Ben Mendelsohn.

Wright partners again with composer Dario Marianelli for the music to set the tone for Anthony McCarten's (screenwriter, "The Theory of Everything") script. 

"Darkest Hour" will  open in Philippine cinemas on January 2018. — AT, GMA News
