NCCA celebrates ASEAN@50 with traditional outfits from member nations

Ahead of the ASEAN Regional Forum, to be held in Manila from August 2 to 8, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts has put on display some of the traditional outfits from the regional organization's member states.

"Woven Identities" features the distinctive fabrics and clothing of the countries belonging to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. Apart from the baro't saya and barong tagalog of the Philippines, the exhibit includes the Vietnamese ao dai, Thailand's suea phraratchathan, and the batik outfits of Singapore and Indonesia.

The outfits are on display at the NCCA building on General Luna Street in Manila.
