Filipino talent in full display at the 31st ASEAN Summit

Filipino talent was in full display at the 31st ASEAN Summit, held in Manila on November 13-15.

From the very start, at the special gala dinner, our artists and designers provided spectacle for the eyes as culinary masters tickled the dignitaries’ taste, and performers, wowed them with their singing.

At the opening ceremony on Monday, young dancers of the Locsin Workshop, choreographed by none other than Agnes Locsin, danced to the live ethnic music spearheaded by Pinoy OPM legend Joey Ayala.

As their husbands got to work, the spouses were treated to an exhibit that showcased more Filipino art, culture, and food.

Filipino artists made sure the summit closed in high notes on Tuesday, when the Airdance company performed what is almost acrobatics and young singers as well as the more established ones bid everyone a farewell.

President Rodrigo Duterte then turned over the ASEAN chairmanship to Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsein Loong — but not before he injected his brand of humor, of course. — LA, GMA News
