Online ‘creepy pasta’ Slender Man crosses over to the big screen

The first official trailer for "Slender Man" dropped this week, offering the audience a glimpse of the fictional "creepy pasta" character that plagued the Internet in 2009 until the early 2010s. 

The online myths about Slender Man has been turned into a screenplay by "Elle" writer David Birke, turning it into a story of haunting in a small town in Massachusetts. 

Four high school students try to perform a ritual to debunk the Slender Man myth, but one of them suddenly goes missing under suspicious circumstances.

Sylvain White ("The Losers") directs a cast led by Jaz Sinclair, Joey King, Julia Goldani Telles, Annalise Basso, and Talitha Bateman.
