‘Liway’ will return to the big screen in October

Missed Kapuso star Glaiza De Castro's phenomenal performance in the critically acclaimed Cinemalaya entry "Liway"? Make time in October and be sure to catch it when it hits theaters — nationwide!

The "Liway" team via their official social media pages announced that the film will be screened across the Philippines beginning October 17. 

"Liway" is based on the relationship between Director Dakip "Kip" Oebanda and his mother Commander Liway, born Cecilia Flores-Oebanda. As a young boy, the director lived in a prison camp and his mother entertained him with stories of a diwata fighting the Marcos dictatorship.

It won the Audience Choice Award and the Special Jury Commendation at the 2018 Cinemalaya Film Festival. — AT, GMA News
