A handful of Filipino artists will be showcasing their work at the prestigious Artexpo New York
The world's largest fine art trade show, Artexpo New York, is happening this weekend, from April 4 to 7, with more than 400 artists, galleries, and publishers from all over the world, displaying their work.
And of the lot, a handful of Filipino artists will be raising our flag.
There's painter Sal Ponce Enrile, selected by the internationally acclaimed art gallery Agora Gallery New York, to exhibit a few of her works.
Her paintings "Retrospect," "Delirious," "Dream," "Perplexed," and "Glade" will be displayed for art enthusiasts to see.
Agora Gallery is at Booth 252 of the fair.
And then there is The Artologist, a leading art house in Manila, sending not one, but four Filipino contemporary artists to the fair: Monnar Baldemor Fernando Antimano, Adam Nacianceno, and Richard Buxani.
Chosen to be displayed at the prestigious show are the following: Antimano's "Positive Space," Monnar's "Andy" and "Jean-Michel," Nacianceno's "Visage" and "Perceive," and Buxani's "Infalliable."
The Artologist will be at Booth 367.
Artexpo New York has hosted the likes of Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Keith Haring and Leroy Neiman.
This year, it will hosting more than 35,000 avid art enthusiasts and qualified trade buyers—including gallery owners and managers, art dealers, interior designers, architects, corporate art buyers, and art and framing retailers.
