17-year-old creates own graduation ball gown from scratch

This 17-year-old didn't need a fairy godmother — just her own talent, passion, and hard work.

Ciara Gan made the rounds online after posting photos of her graduation ball gown that she created from scratch.

In a now viral tweet, the teen said that she designed, sewed, and painted her gown herself, with some help from her mother.

i made and painted my own gown for my graduation ball! ?????

She said it took two weeks for her to finish the gown — that's more than 80 handpainted flowers, in two weeks!
