Aicelle Santos comes back stronger for 'Rak of Aegis Season 7'

Aicelle Santos officially returns as Aileen in "Rak of Aegis Season 7," and according to the Kapuso singer, her stint as Gigi Van Tranh only made her stronger and more disciplined than ever.

"A lot of people have been talking about discipline — [kapag] nagtrabaho ka sa teatro doon sa Europe, kung dito discipline, sa Europe times ten yata 'yong discipline namin, and that I think is one of the big takeaways," Aicelle told GMA News Online.

Her "Miss Saigon" stint has also made both her vocal stamina and her body stronger than before.

"In terms of performance, doing eight shows a week, mas tumibay 'yong katawan mo at 'yong boses mo. I think magagamit ko 'yon dito sa pagbabalik ng 'Rak of Aegis'," she continues.

Juggling wedding preparations and "Rak"

With her approaching wedding later this year, Aicelle certainly has a lot of her plate. But the award-winning theater actor says she's been handling it well, thanks to proper time management.  

"There are days when I completely not do anything about the wedding. Today I work, tomorrow I work again, but the day after that will be dedicated to wedding preparations. It's just a matter of balancing and scheduling it," she said.

Aicelle shares she and fiance Mark Zambrano hardly have any problems when it comes to their wedding preparations.

"We're good, Mark and I wala naman kaming problema," she said. "We have so much respect for each other because, 'I love you, [let's do] whatever you want. Let's do it.' It's the same for us kaya ang cute din namin pag nagu-usap."

Aicelle revealed that their wedding will have an intimate garden setup.

"Rak of Aegis Season 7" will run from July 7 to September 29 with 70 shows. — LA, GMA News
