Manila Cathedral offers to help with weddings affected by Taal eruption
The Manila Cathedral announced that it will be "extending its assistance" to couples in Batangas and Cavite, who wish to transfer their weddings to the cathedral in light of the eruption of Taal volcano.
In a tweet on Thursday, the Manila Cathedral said it has been receiving several inquiries "regarding transfer of weddings affected by the Taal Volcano eruption in Batangas and Cavite areas to the Manila Cathedral."
"For weddings scheduled in January and February 2020 in Cavite and Batangas area affected by the eruption of Taal Volcano, we are extending assistance to those who wish to transfer their wedding to," it announced.
According to the post, those interested may visit the Manila Cathedral Office, open Tuesday to Saturday at 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday at 8 a.m. - 12 noon.

The Taal volcano roared to life last Sunday, spewing enormous amounts of ash that affected several areas in Batangas, including Tagaytay, where couples scheduled to get married in the next few days have been advised to relocate or reschedule their weddings for safety reasons. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
