Help sew a dress or just chill at this fun exhibit at Art Fair Philippines 2020
After putting up the Panic Room at ALT Philippines, Anton Belardo built another interactive exhibit called the Jellyfish Kisses Sewing Club for the Art Fair Philippines 2020.
There's a sewing area where visitors can piece together a large outfit using scraps of fabric and the materials provided at the exhibit.
The exhibit was "inspired by story quilts each of these scraps is a memento of precious time, which will be infused with your own memories."
The final dress produced from the collaborative work will be showcased at the Soft Punk Spring Summer 2020 show.
Belardo's previous work "Panic Room" at the alt was a place where people get to have a brief unburdening session for five minutes.
She told GMA News Online that she wanted to create another "safe space," this time she created a "closet" with a lounge that has plushie pillows and a sewing area where people can either get creative or relax.
She said it's her way to "get people involved in art."
Belardo said Jellyfish Kisses Sewing Club is a "safe space for people to relax for a few minutes or they can stay for as long as they want."
Catch this exhibit at Art Fair Philippines 2020 at The Link Carpark in Makati City from February 21 to 23, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
