Need something fancy in your life? Institut Français now offers 21 French films online for free!
The Institut Français, the French government’s arm in promoting their culture abroad, has made available 21 of their country’s films online for free.
Since the French Film Festival in the Philippines can no longer offer screenings across the country due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Institut Français has “made its online film platform accessible through your laptops.”
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, the Embassy of France in the Philippines shared that 10 full length features and 11 short films will now be available for online viewing from anywhere around the world.
“Thus, the French Film Festival goes on from the safety of your homes,” it said.
Some of the films included are “Huit,” “Afrique sur Seine,” “Les Filles,” and “9.58.”
All 21 films are subtitled in English, the embassy assured the public. However, the free films can only be accessed until July 13, 2020.
