Photographer digitally develops old film photos from the 90s using only two phones and an editing app

Amid the quarantine period, a photographer who came across his uncle's negative films from the 90s decided to experiment and recover the photos.

On Facebook, Jh-Arland Pasion shared the step-by-step process on how to digitally develop a negative film strip with only using two mobile phones, and a photo-editing app.

Pasion said he got curious when he saw the film strips while he scavenged their stuff at home over the quarantine period, he then decided to watch YouTube videos and DIY tutorials on how to recover the photos in the film.

"Mukha namang effective kaya i-share ko sainyo itong natutunan ko para masubukan niyo din na maiayos pa mga luma niyong litrato nuon," he said.

Jh-Arland said instead of dumping or throwing away old film strips people can try and recover the photos and save memories they had from the past.

"Maaari mo na mai-save ang mga memories niyo nuon ng hindi na kinakailangan pa gumastos and may digital copy kana rin ng mga luma niyong litrato," he said.

As of this writing, Jh-Arland's post garnered over 27,000 reactions and 67,000 shares on Facebook.

Here's how he did it:
