Rabiya Mateo thanks pageant fans all over the world a day before the Miss Universe coronation event

A day before the Miss Universe competition, Rabiya Mateo thanked pageant fans from all over the world "for celebrating and empowering us candidates."

Sharing a photo of herself wearing the sun-inspired Furne One evening gown at the preliminary competition, Rabiya dedicated her post "to all pageant fans all over the world. Salamat po. Terima kasih. Khob khun ka. Gracias."

"Thank you for celebrating and empowering us candidates. There may be some who are critical to us but still, there’s millions of nice people who cheer for us. Sending love from Florida to the rest of the Universe!" she added.

In an earlier post, Rabiya expressed her disbelief that the pageant is coming to a close.

"I still can’t believe Miss Universe is gonna happen tomorrow," she began. "The days were so fast. Last night was our preliminary competition."

"I’m so proud of all the girls. Everyone is beautiful and amazing. We gave the audience a great show," she added.

Rabiya made it to Missosology's "Final Hot Picks" for the 69th Miss Universe taking the third spot.

Rabiya also dazzled viewers when she strutted down the runway in a yellow two-piece bikini during the swimsuit preliminary competition.

Rabiya will be representing the Philippines at the Miss Universe pageant which will be held at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, on May 16 (May 17 in Philippine time). — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
