4 GMA Public Affairs documentaries named finalists in New York Festivals

Four GMA Public Affairs documentaries have been named as finalists to this year's New York Film Festival!

The good news was announced on Wednesday morning, with the prestigious festival listing "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" episode "The Woman Slashed on Her Face," a finalist under the "Social Justice" category.

Meanwhile, the documentary "The Atom Araullo Specials: Dreams of Gold," about the struggles of Filipino athletes, was named a finalist under the "Sports Documentary" division.

The "Reel Time" episode "This Abled" about a man with no legs and arms seeking to reach his dreams, was a finalist in the "Heroes" category.

"Miguel's Wounds," a "Reporter's Notebook" episode on a 21-year old man whose body is wilting with wounds, was a finalist for the "Health/Medical Information" division.

All finalists will be moving forward to the medal round this 2021. — LA, GMA News
