Jose Mari Chan has a message for all his fellow senior citizens this 'Ber' season

The "Ber" months are here, and Jose Mari Chan is back.

Plenty of memes have come out of the woodwork, and the most popular perhaps features a police officer telling the singer not to come out yet because lockdown protocols don't allow senior citizens out.

Well, on "Unang Hirit" Wednesday, the "King of Christmas Carols" shared a special message to his fellow senior citizens amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

"My advice to all senior citizens in the Philippines is be protected," Jose Mari Chan said on "Unang Hirit."

"Have yourself vaccinated. Be protected, be prayerful, and be patient," he added.

During his live interview on Wednesday, September 1, Jose Mari Chan shared that he has been working from home for almost two years now.

However, he said he makes it a point to keep in touch with his loved ones over video call everyday and go to mass (online) with his wife every Sunday.

Jose Mari Chan was also excited to see everyone caroling this Christmas season, even if it's just virtually.

"When I see their faces and I hear their voices, [what's] most important it's the feel that I get from listening to them," he said.

As we all know, Jose Mari Chan has become an unofficial reminder that the Holiday season is upon us.
