Here are five fun facts about the 28-year-old stunner from Cebu City who bested 44 other candidates and was crowned the winner during the final coronation night held in Subic, Zambales on Sunday.

1. She's an industrial engineer

Tracy Maureen Perez of Cebu City is an industrial engineer by profession.

She's also a model and a beauty queen, who was reigning Binibining Cebu Charity from 2018 to 2019.

2. She's a miracle baby

Tracy tried her luck at Miss Universe Philippines last year and during the preliminary interviews, she had mentioned that  she is a miracle baby.

Tracy said that makes life an "absolute blessing" for her. It also inspired her to "learn from every experience, both good and bad," so she can live life to the fullest.

3. Her winning Q&A was about the COVID-19 pandemic

In the final Q&A, Tracy shared her inspiring thoughts on what everyone should learn from the COVID-19 pandemic.

"After this pandemic, I hope that we never take for granted the family that we have, taking care of our health, and taking care of the people that protect us — our leaders, our front liners," she said.

"We should always give importance to those people. We may not see the efforts that they give out, but most definitely, they are our modern heroes and for that, we should always be grateful and we should always stick with them and pray for them," she added.

4. She was already a winner

Tracy proved to be a force to be reckoned with throughout the competition.

Apart from the Miss World Philippines crown, she also bagged the Ms. Bench Body or Best in Swimsuit award, Miss Bluewater Day Spa, Miss Artopian International, Miss Bench, and Miss Derma Fix.

She also made it to the Top 10 of the National Costume competition after paying tribute to 500 years of Christianity in the Philippines through an ensemble called "Vessel of Faith."

 

5. Her crowning moment was an iconic one

Tracy slipped onstage shortly after she was announced the winner of Miss World Philippines 2021.

Not to worry: With the help from her fellow queens, she recovered from it quickly and gracefully, just in time for them to pose and smile for photos.

Tracy Maureen Perez was crowned Miss World Philippines 2021 at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

After besting more than 44 candidates, she is set to represent the country in the 70th Miss World pageant in Puerto Rico in December.

Winners of the night also include Kathleen Paton (Miss Eco Philippines); Tatyana Austria (Miss Eco Teen Philippines); Emmanuelle Vera (Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas);(Shaila Robertera, Miss Multinational); Trisha Martinez (Miss Philippines Tourism) and Michelle Arceo (Miss Environment International).
