Google pays tribute to Pinoy playwright Severino Reyes

Severino Reyes was also known as the "Father of Tagalog plays," having written zarzuelas and dramas.

A tribute has been posted online, via Google doodle, for Filipino playwright Severino Reyes on his 161st birth anniversary.

The colorful doodle shows Reyes and scene showing a seated "Lola Basyang" telling a story to small children.

Lola Basyang is the pen name used by Reyes for Liwayway magazine.
