Celeste Cortesi is among this year’s 'Women of Style and Substance' awardees
Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi is among this year’s “Women of Style and Substance” awardees by a local high society magazine, PeopleAsia.
The awarding ceremony was held on Monday night at Okada Manila, where the beauty queen attended wearing a black off-shoulder cutout gown by Anthony Ramirez.
In her acceptance speech, Celeste believes that a woman of style and substance should go “beyond the physical appearance.”
“A woman of style and substance is someone who is true to herself. She’s capable [of inspiring] others through relatability, authenticity, and kindness,” she added.
On Instagram, Tuesday, Celeste showed her appreciation for the award by posting a photo holding her newly-received trophy.
“I am extremely honored to be able to stand alongside brilliant and empowered women. Thank you, People Asia, for this award as [a] woman of style and substance,” she wrote.
Other awardees include French Ambassador Michele Boccoz, Senator Risa Hontiveros, Sta. Elena Construction Corp. EVP Jacqueline Eduardo, and Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco, among others.
Celeste will represent the country in the upcoming Miss Universe pageant in January 2023. And after giving a peek at her runway skills at the BYS Fashion Week and speaking confidently at PeopleAsia’s awards night, it’s safe to say that Celeste is ready to take on the stage.
