Lamrag Giant Lantern Festival returns to Eastern Samar

The Lamrag Giant Lantern Festival returned to Eastern Samar after it was halted in recent years due to the pandemic.

According to a report on "24 Oras Weekend," Sunday, barangays in the municipality of Can-avid competed with huge parols made of recycled materials.

The winners will receive a prize of up to P150,000. The festival will last until the New Year.

The Lamrag Giant Lantern Festival began in 2016.

Meanwhile, Pampanga also held its own lantern festival dubbed Ligligan Parul. Ten barangays put together a memorable show last December 17.
