'Luckiest Girl Alive' author Jessica Knoll unveils upcoming new book, 'Bright Young Women'

LUCKIEST GIRL ALIVE AUTHOR JESSICA KNOLL UNVEILS NEW BOOK BRIGHT YOUNG WOMEN

Are you a fan of the New York Times bestselling book, "Luckiest Girl Alive" or its Netflix movie adaptation starring Mila Kunis? Then, here's some good news for you: the author Jessica Knoll has unveiled her new, upcoming book, "Bright Young Women," which is coming this October 2023.

Sharing the book cover on Instagram, Jessica said "Bright Young Women" is inspired by a real-life sorority targeted by America's first celebrity serial killer, who everyone thought was smart and charismatic.

In Jessica's research, however, she found out that was not the case.

"Bright Young Women" begins in 1978, hours before an act of violence changes the life of sorority president, Pamela Schumacher, forever.

Over the next 40 years, Pamela tries to solve a mystery that will upend the lore of the so-called brilliant serial killer from Seattle, proposing a new narrative—that it was the women whose lives he cut short who were the exceptional ones.

In real life, a judge called the serial killer "a bright young man," which is where the title of Jessica's book, "Bright Young Women," comes from.

On another Instagram post, Jessica said it's "a story of survivors, vengeance, and forgiveness."

"I hope you love it," she added.

Her first novel, the runaway hit "Luckiest Girl Alive," tells the fictional story partly based on Jessica's real-life gang rape when she was 15 years old.

She revealed this bombshell via a viral essay in the now-defunct "Lenny Letter" website by Lena Dunham, who was the creator of the HBO TV show, "Girls."

Jessica is also the author of "The Favorite Sister," her second novel, which was inspired by the reality show franchise, "The Real Housewives."
