R’Bonney Gabriel 'can’t wait to go to the Philippines' for Miss Universe Philippines 2023

R’Bonney Gabriel is all set for a fabulous homecoming.

The reigning Miss Universe is headed to the Philippines as a special guest of the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 coronation night on May 13.

R’bonney, a sustainable fashion designer who represented the USA, was crowned Miss Universe in January, the first Filipino-American queen to have the title.

She previously teased wanting to go back to the Philippines this year.

“Can’t wait to go to the Philippines next month and attend @themissuniverseph!” R’bonney said in her Instagram Story.

R’Bonney’s fellow Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi is also visiting and will serve as a special guest host.

Alden Richards and Xian Lim are the night’s hosts, whereas Tim Yap and Maureen Montagne are the backstage hosts.

Fil-Am singer Jessica Sanchez and Korean singer Nam Woo Hyun will also be performing.

The reigning Miss Universe Philippines is Celeste Cortesi. She bowed out early of the international pageant, which was the first time since 2009 that the Philippines’ bet did not make it to the semifinals.

Kapuso actress and pageant favorite Michelle Dee is once again competing for the title. She took part in the 2022 competition and was named Miss Universe Philippines Tourism.
