Atsuko Okatsuka rides a jeep while in Manila

Atsuko Okatsuka, a Japanese-Taiwanese stand-up comedienne, just tried riding a jeepney for the first time!

On Instagram, Atsuko shared a reel where she could be seen sitting inside a jeep, looking fascinated.

“I’m in a jeepney that is pretty much their public transportation [in the Philippines],” she said.

The recent Manila vistor went on to describe the aesthetics of a jeepney in her signature deadpan manner, calling the windows as “all open holes.”

“You ever been in a bus with a full hole in the back?” she said.

“This is like a rollercoaster, except it gets you to work. How fun is that?” she added.

Atsuko said riding a jeepney allows you to make new friends, as she calls on a random passenger, who gamely gave her a thumbs up sign.

She really got into the Philippine culture, riding the jeepney in a presko green dress and a matching pamapaypay.

In the comments section, R’Bonney Gabriel, who has been living in the Philippines for a few months now, welcomed Atsuko into the country.

“Welcome to the Philippines! Don’t worry, the windows close when it rains,” the Miss Universe 2022 commented.

Atsuko recently held three sold-out shows at the Samsung Hall in SM Aura last weekend.
