'Firefly' to be screened for free at Ortigas Art Festival

On Facebook, the Ortigas Art Festival announced they will be screening four award-winning movies including “Firefly” for free at the Ortigas Cinemas as part of their art festival.
According to the post, “Firefly” will be screened on August 15, 8:00 p.m. at the Ortigas Cinema in Estancia at Capitol Commons.
Aside from “Firefly,” other movies like “How to Disappear Completely,” starring Shamaine and Nonie Buencamino, “Gitling,” starring Gabby Padilla and “In My Mother’s Skin,” starring Beauty Gonzalez will also be screened for free.
Apart from the Ortigas Art Festival, “Firefly” will also have a special screening at this year’s Cinemalaya on August 9 at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay.
Directed by Zig Dulay, "Firefly" narrates a moving story about family, dreams, and bravery as the young Tonton (Euwenn) embarks on a journey to find the mystical island of fireflies based on his mother's bedtime stories.
"Firefly" was an official entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023. At the "Gabi ng Parangal," the film was named Best Picture, Best Screenplay, and Best Child Performer for Euwenn.
"Firefly" also bagged awards from the Manila International Film Festival and FAMAS 2024.
