CFO, UFilKor sign agreement on cultural immersion initiative
The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) and the United Filipinos in Korea (UFilKor) on Monday signed a memorandum of agreement to encourage cultural and heritage immersion for Filipino-Korean youth.
According to a statement released on Tuesday, the agreement will enhance the Youth Leaders in the Diaspora (YouLead) Program, which uses educational lectures, guided tours, and cultural exchanges to help Filipino youth abroad understand Philippine history and culture.
The inaugural YouLead program with the Philippine Embassy in Seoul will have 29 participants, which is the largest number hosted by the program so far.
The YouLead program with the Philippine Embassy in Seoul will take place from October 20 to 27, in line with the celebration of the 75 years of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and South Korea.
The MOA was signed by CFO Secretary Romulo Arugay and UFilKor Head Mercy Hachero. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
