'Night at the Theater': Watch 12 theater companies for free in Makati on Feb. 6

For audiences curious about Philippine theater but unsure where to begin, one night in February offers a rare shortcut.

On February 6, 2026, 12 theater companies will share one stage at the JZA Hall of the Samsung Performing Arts Theater in Circuit Makati for “Night at the Theater,” a one-evening showcase of productions scheduled to run in the first half of the year.

The performances will begin at 7:30 p.m., and admission is free, with slots available through TicketWorld starting January 16 at 6 p.m.

Rather than full-length shows, each company will present a short excerpt from an upcoming production—scenes, musical numbers, or key moments that give audiences a clear sense of what to expect when the curtain officially rises later in the season.

The format will allow viewers to see multiple styles and stories in a single sitting, without committing to just one title.

The participating companies include Areté, Barefoot Theatre Collaborative, CAST PH, Encore Theater, The IdeaFirst Company, NWR Musicals, Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA), Repertory Philippines, The Sandbox Collective, Scene Change, Tanghalang Pilipino, and Theatre Group Asia.

Outside the theater, company booths will be set up in the JZA Hall lobby, where audiences can browse tickets, merchandise, and upcoming offerings, and speak directly with artists and producers.

The event is presented by Ayala Land, Make It Makati, and Circuit Makati, in partnership with TheaterFansManila.com and TicketWorld, as part of Arts Month celebrations running alongside Art Fair Philippines.
