Gazini Ganados finishes at Top 5 in Miss Grand International All Stars
Gazini Ganados concluded her Miss Grand International All Stars journey as a Top 5 finalist after surviving multiple elimination rounds in the competition held in Bangkok, Thailand on Saturday.
The Kapuso beauty queen carried the Philippine flag to the final stages of the pageant, becoming the last Filipina contender standing after Fuschia Anne Ravena, Alexia Nuñez, Imelda Schweighart, and Keylyn Trajano bowed out earlier in the competition.
Here are the remaining three queens competing in the pageant:
- Vanessa Pulgarin - Colombia
- Nguyen Huong Giang - Vietnam
- Faith Maria Porter - Ghana
During the coronation night, Gazini took the stage with a sleek, straight hairstyle and a figure-hugging outfit during the production number and introduction segment, exuding elegance and confidence.
For the swimsuit competition, she showcased a sultry pasarela paired with her poised stage presence and striking facial expression.
Gazini later stunned in the evening gown round wearing a golden creation by Filipino designer Rian Fernandez. The gown proudly honored her Filipino and Palestinian roots, featuring intricate gold metal patterns adorned with brilliant blue crystals.
Her look received the scores 8, 10, 10, 9, 10, 10, 8, and 10 from the judges.
During the Top 5 question-and-answer portion, judge Abena Akuaba asked Gazini: “Cyberbullying has become one of the biggest threats facing young people today. Beyond simply telling people to be kind, what practical steps should society take to reduce cyberbullying?”
In response, Gazini spoke about her personal struggles and advocacy, saying, “I was once a victim of cyberbullying. It is not easy to go through something that you didn’t ask for. As a Filipina-Palestinian, I have raised my voice and I have conquered through my fears because I faced the struggles that I've been facing."
"My family is still stuck in Gaza and now that I'm fighting for their lives, I just want to do my best and be their representation and raise their flags just like who I am today as a Filipina-Palestinian.”
In 2019, Gazini competed in Miss Universe and finished in the Top 20.
