Alex Eala talks about PH representation: 'A dream is only a dream until it becomes a reality'

Alex Eala has taken the tennis world by storm, and her stardom reflects not only her stellar performances but also the people inspired by her journey.

In an interview with “CBS Morning,” the Filipina tennis ace said that one of the things she has learned over the past year is the power of representation and the profound impact inspiration can have on others.

“When I interact with the people who support me and tell me their stories, it really touches me,” she said.

Alex also said that she hopes her work, both on and off the court, can continue to inspire others, particularly the youth, to pursue their own dreams.

“And, you know, I’m here. I’m in New York. I’m competing in the US Open. I’m from Manila," she said. "A dream is only a dream until it becomes a reality."

Alex bowed out of the US Open after Iva Jovic won their match in the third round.
