SB19, Xonara, J2X promise exciting collaborations, sub-units and more for One Zone Fest
SB19, Xonara, and J2X have plenty of surprises in store for fans attending the One Zone Fest at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on October 24 and 25.
In a press conference at the 1Z Entertainment office on Wednesday, Justin said Day 1 of the event will be a six-hour showcase of their artists' identities and different music genres.
Pablo said there will be collaborations, sub-units, and special guests, which J2X likened to the menu offering of a carinderia.
"It's nice to eat at a carinderia. There's various dishes, everything you want to eat is there," said the dancer-rapper, who is also known as choreographer Jay Roncesvalles, in Filipino.
"We have a lot of collaborations between ourselves. We did something and we decided who will be grouped together," he added. "I also have a collaboration from outside 1Z with someone I really want to dance with."
Eurekah said Xonara prepared special performances, which Tin said they have been working on while SB19 was making history at the Lollapalooza in July.
"It's super exciting because we're gonna try something new but stronger but at the same time the fans will see our vulnerable side," she said.
SB19 will perform as individual artists on Day 1 of One Zone Fest, and Day 2 will be a celebration of their anniversary as a group.
"It's giving back to the fans. We're sure that they miss us. So it is really for them," Justin said.
He also said One Zone Fest, which will be an annual event, is part of SB19's work to continue the P-pop movement they helped pioneer since they started as a group.
"We're making sure that next year, it's gonna bigger and more exciting and of course 1Z is growing, there will be more artists. As we've said before for this event, it's not just 1Z artists that you will see, there will be more. So every year, it's gonna be much bigger, better," he said.
"OZF has a big goal. It's starting now, but definitely, our goal is much bigger. One of the goals is to really promote P-pop or OPM all over the world," Pablo added.
Tickets for One Zone Fest are now available, with separate tickets for each day.
1Z Entertainment is the company founded by the SB19 members in 2023. Aside from the P-pop Kings, it launched Xonara and J2X as its artists earlier this year.
Xonara is a seven-member girl group composed of Eurekah, Tin, Dominique, Ella, Namie, Lei, and Megumi. Since debuting in May, they released two singles, "Tabi" and "Pula."
J2X also released two singles, "AkoNgaPalaSi" and "Edewup."
Meanwhile, SB19 is composed of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin. The "MAPA" and "GENTO" hitmakers recently worked with Senator Bam Aquino to craft a bill that would establish a government agency for Filipino creatives. —CDC, GMA News
