Alamat explores Filipino folklore in 'Pagbigyan (Bad Decisions)' music video

P-pop group Alamat embraced Filipino folklore and supernatural elements in the music video for "Pagbigyan (Bad Decisions)."

In the video, the members portray albularyos and appear to be under a spell, incorporating the concept of barang into the visual narrative.

The video's eerie atmosphere complements the song's theme of temptation and the struggle between knowing something may be wrong and wanting to give in anyway.

In the lyrics, the Alamat expresses an attraction that is difficult to resist despite knowing it could lead to poor choices.

The P-pop group is commended for showcasing Filipino culture throughout their music and video concepts, as well as in their outfits and choreography.

Their lyrics also tackle themes like colonialism, indigenous culture, and Filipino mythology. They often sing in the members' vernacular languages.

Alamat is best known for their songs "Maharani," "Dagundong," "Sa Panaginip Na Lang," "Day and Night," and "Say U Love Me."

Alamat performed at The A Festival at Paris Event Center in Paris on October 24.

They will have a concert next month.
