Joy Barcoma shows serious side in Alamat's 'Sinigang' music video

Joy Barcoma showed off her acting chops in Alamat's music video for "Sinigang!"

Opposite member R-ji, the Miss Philippines Earth 2025 portrays the love interest who yearns for someone, fights, and gets sweet with him.

In between scenes, Alamat dances to the smooth R&B track outside Destino Eatery and LuzViMinda Sari-Sari Store.

At the end of the video, R-ji gives Joy a bowl of sinigang and sits next to her.

"Sinigang" or "sinisigaw hanggang ngayon" is one of the songs from Alamat's album, "Destino," which dropped in 2025.

"Destino" also includes the songs "LuzViMinda" and "Hapag."

The P-pop group is commended for showcasing Filipino culture throughout their music and video concepts, as well as their outfits and choreography.

Their lyrics also tackle themes like colonialism, indigenous culture, and Filipino mythology. They often sing in the members' vernacular languages.

Alamat is best known for their songs "Maharani," "Dagundong," "Sa Panaginip Na Lang," "Day and Night," and "Say U Love Me."

Meanwhile, Joy was crowned Miss Philippines Earth in August 2025. She finished her Miss Earth journey in the Top 8 of the global competition.

She is part of "The People Have Spoken" as a celebri-peep and is also currently an "Unang Hirit" host-mate.
