SB19 releases 'GENTO' collab stage with Kento Nakajima as official performance video
SB19 has released their Summer Sonic collaboration stage with Kento Nakajima as the official performance video of their new "GENTO" track featuring the Fil-Japanese artist.
The new version of the 2023 Filipino smash hit included the Japanese verse performed by Kento, who also sang chorus parts.
Kento is one of several artists of Filipino descent making their name in the J-pop industry. He confirmed that he is half-Filipino during an interaction with Liza Soberano at a fashion show in New York.
Also known as Kenty, he is a known singer, actor, and television personality in Japan.
Earlier this year, SB19 had a collaboration stage with another Japanese act: the boy group Be:First. The two groups performed their then-unreleased track, "Toyfriend," at the DUNK Showcase in Yokohama.
The P-pop Kings celebrated their eighth anniversary as a group in October.
They recently submitted two songs for consideration at the 2027 Grammy Awards: "VISA" under the Best Asian Pop Music Performance and "Lawless" under the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Aside from "GENTO," SB19 is also known for "MAPA" and "DAM," among others.
